Hidden beneath the sky lawn at Houston's Buffalo Bayou Park is an abandoned cistern, rediscovered in 2010.
Built in 1927, it was Houston's first underground drinking-water reservoir. Larger than a football field and 25 feet tall, this majestic space can be seen from artist Donald Lipski's device, Down Periscope.
